Biography
Wolf Wennrich
Wolf Wennrich was born in Silecia, Germany in April 1922 and studied art-design at the State Academy of Art, Hamburg, Germany, gaining a Diploma in Goldsmithing. He gained experience with Cartier, Hamburg-Zurich- Paris and R. Wilm, Berlin-Hamburg, and was a founder and president of the Society of European Jewellers. Moving to Australia in 1953 he taught goldsmithing and jewellery design at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology, School of Art and Design from 1962. His work has been exhibited in both Germany and Australia and he lives in Victoria.
He died on 7 April 1991. [CJM]
