Biography
Margaret Weir
Margaret Weir was born on 7 October 1856 at Steiglitz, Victoria. She lived in Royal Parade, Melbourne and reportedly attended the National Gallery of Victoria School, holding an exhibition in the Melbourne Town Hall in the late 1920s or early 1930s. In later life she produced watercolours of wildflowers in the style of M. Ellis Rowan (1848-1922) and also attempted to make a living from giving lessons in painting.
Margaret Weir died on 2 August 1934 at Royal Park, Melbourne.
