Biography
James Turner trained as an engraver in England. He briefly lived in Australia during the goldrush years before returning to England. He had returned to Melbourne by 1872. He designed stamps and engraved dies and operated the Economic Printing Works. He became insolvent in 1894 due to poor investments.
