Mo Wedd-Buchholz was born in Germendorf, Mark Brandenburg, Germany on 7 July 1928, daughter of artist Erich Buchholz (1891-1972). She studied weaving in Germany, gaining a diploma from the Meisterschule für das Kunsthandwerk, Berlin in 1952 and a Master Weaver Certificate in Frankfurt am Main in 1964. From 1961-74 she had studios in Germany and also taught and exhibited extensively.

 

In 1974 she migrated to Australia where she has continued to exhibit her work extensively, teach and publish articles on textiles. Mo Wedd-Buchholz lives in Canberra.
