Craig (1961) notes that this is the only locally produced [Tasmanian] engraving of a ship that is known.

Subject description

Portrait of the ship 'Halycon' built by John Munro at Gravelly Beach (28 kilometres north-west of Launceston), Tasmania. The 'Halycon' traded between Launceston and Adelaide, and later in Pacific waters including Pitcairn Island.
