Production notes

The intention for Barlow to produce a lithograph of the ball was noted on 29 August 1844, and he established a subscription list for the lithograph on that date. On 27 September he advertised a publication date of 7 October. A proof was noted by the press on 10 October but publication was not advertised 21 October (the Australian)
