The image on the rondel on the title-page engraved by Thomas Medland, is derived from the 'Sydney Cove Medallion', designed by Henry Webber and produced by Josiah Wedgwood in 1789. The clay used to produce the Medallion was sent from Sydney Cove by Governor Arthur Phillip.
