Abstract

This essay traces the history of the works of art on paper collection from its beginnings in the 1860s to the present day. It discusses print curators Herbert S. Gilkes, Daryl Lindsay, Dr Ursula Hoff, Sonia Dean and Irena Zdanowicz, the aquisitions they made and the exhibitions presented at the National Gallery of Victoria.
