Prints in the Gippsland Art Gallery Collection.

Although there are many print collections in Australian public art museums, few have been well documented.

The Gippsland Art Gallery, Sale, Victoria has researched and published a handsome volume Printmaking in the collection. The book written by Director Simon Gregg provides a brief history of the formation of the collection, followed by chapters discussing aspects from old master prints to the present. The book finishes with a chapter on printmaking in Gippsland. This is followed by a checklist of the 660 prints in the collection. The book is illustrated with over 130 images in colour.
