An admirable and spirited likeness of our lamented, facetious and patriarchal colonist, Billy Blue, has been lithographed with great felicity by Mr. Carmichael and no less to encourage a skillful and afflicted artist than to commemorate so celebrated a character as the Old Commodore, of happy memory, a large impression will doubtless be sold. The only imaginable defect the performance, seems to us to be, that it does not convey to those who did not know him, the idea of a ... man, or copper completion. We embrace the present as a most suitable opportunity to lend our aid to immortalize the Commodore, by some lines written in his time, and now for the first time published, in our poets corner.
