Among the numerous likenesses that adorns the shop window of Mr. Austin the Lithographic engraver in the Colonade, Bridge-street, is an excellent one of our Town Surveyor Mr. Mathews, on his charger in full trot, with cap 'a la Militaire'. Had we not seen this gentleman before, we certainly should have taken him for an Hussar officer in undress, notwithstanding the figure is only done in Indian ink, we recommend the curious to take a peep at this, which is a good specimen of Mr. Austin's abilities as a draughtsman.
